Mum had always encouraged me to keep my hair short. I never thought it was pretty to have a short bob or pixie and none of my friends had short hair, so I always wore it at least to my shoulders. In 2000 I got a perm, and aside from the fact that it left me with a bald patch it was the most volume my hair had ever seen and it was one of the easiest controlled styles I’ve ever had! Anyway leaving the perm in the 90s where it belongs, since I was about 17 I have entrusted my hair stylings to the very capable hands of Angie at Tassles salon in Burwood westfield, except for a brief and experimental diversion to an artist turned student hairdresser in Newtown.
I have extremely fine hair, and often potential style clippings I show her are rejected because she recognises they won’t work on my head. I appreciate this kind of honesty
